Excellent full day out. A few stops on the way to Port Arthur. All entries to historic site included in cost. Very comfortable coach and Phil our driver/ guide was great. Really informative and amusing with the random 'Dad' joke thrown in. Highly recommend

Phil our coach driver was very insightful and friendly, he made the day even better than it was. I felt very welcome as a solo traveller. Loved all the stops and information that was given along the way.

Wonderful day out! An experience from start to finish. Phil our guide was an amazing source of information and even threw in a few jokes along the way. Could have easily spent a few more hours at Port Arthur just looking around. It’s such a beautiful place but the history of it is quite sad. Would fully recommend this tour to anyone, the inclusion of the Isle of the Dead walking tours is a must do. Absolutely fascinating. The stops along the way give you the opportunity of some great photo opportunities also.

Phil the coach driver regaled us with many aspects of life, history and nature, on the journey to Port Arthur. The guides provided certainly brought the lives and outcomes of individuals, and general population at such a harsh and isolated location. The tour was well organised, clear communication allowed for participants to explore independently or follow guided walks. The Isle of the Dead was enlightening and informative, whilst respecting the dignity of those individuals interred there. The trip to Tasman Arch on return was terrific too. An amazing day, did not disappoint.

We booked through Grayline on a full day(12 feb) Port Arthur Grand costing $155 per pax but it is worth every bit. It includes the port Arthur entry, harbor cruise and an off island hop on the isle of the dead where there is another half hour tour. The Grayline driver Phil was a gem. He stopped at Richmond to show us the town and we got off to buy some bread. We visited the oldest bridge and oldest church here. Quaint little town. Phil never wasted anytime and was engaging the whole bus group with history of port Arthur, the wildlifes and Tasmanian life. He showed us how to spot cherry farms, abalone farms, oysters farms and salmon farms along the great wilderness. Thank you Phil for making my trip to Tasmania memorable. Most importantly we stop by Devil’s Kitchen and there is an interesting Anoriginal story behind but I shan’t spoil it.

This tour gave me enough time to see most of Port Arthur, including the Isle of the Dead tour, plus quick 10 minute stops to see some of the dramatic coastline on the way to and from Port Arthur. Seventeen people on the tour in a big bus, so plenty of space, but Port Arthur itself was busy because a cruise ship was in the bay.

We caught the bus from Brooke st pair and our driver was Jim. He was the perfect driver with heaps of information tips and good humored jokes on the trip out. We did the guided tour of the grounds and the tour of the isle of dead and they were both fantastic. Tour guides were the staff of Port Arthur and had great knowledge and enthusiasm for their subject. Learnt a lot and really enjoyed the day. You could drive yourself and do the tours but after a weeks driving it was great to leave it in the hands of Jim and relax for the day. Probably the highlight if our trip to tasmania.

Our tour guide was Jim and he was excellent. We only had 6 people on this tour. Jim was a very good narrator and very informative on the drive down to Port Arthur. We were met by a tour guide from Port Arthur who told us about the history of the place. We then had some time to look around before we met the boat for our cruise to the Isle of the Dead. Our tour guide Rob was excellent giving us a thorough history of the Island. We then had more time to look over the site. This tour was very good and we had enough time to see everything.
